I need info on a Pump Shot gun the info I have so far is Serial#134494, Manufacturer Stamp Reads *National Firearms Company* on top left side of barrel, and 12ga. also on left side of barrel near reciever, it also has the following number on the bottom side of the barrel 140871F, and has a 30"barrel, and 16" tube.
I am Trying to find out the folowing , Model#, approx date of manufacture, company of manufacture and possibly value gun appears to be in approximately 70 to 80% good condition.

One of my references notes that National Firearms Company was a trade name used by Hopkins & Allen of Norwich CT.
They went out of business in 1916, its possible some other manufacturer continued using that trade name after H & A demise.
These old "Hardware Guns" made by secondary manufacturers hold little collectors interest/demand therefore there value is minimal.

National Firearms is a name that Marlin used on some of their early pumps.It is a hammer gun and has a small band directly in front of the reciever around the barrel. Look for a picture of a Marlin M-1898,or 19 series and see. I'll bet that they match. Alfonse 0
