Electronic Hearing Protection

Can anyone recommend a brand of muff-type, electronically enhanced hearing protector? I'm looking for the kind where I can hear normal voices, but will electronically cancel out loud gunshots. Looking to spend around $100.
One "must have" is the ability to "see" that the muffs are on, like a LED or something. Any help would be much appreciated.

    I'm happy with Dillon muffs. However, they cost a little more than that, & they have no LED. But, they use AAA batteries, so leaving them on (which I've done) doesn't cost that much.

    I have a pair of Pelators that iI absolutely love! They enhance the sound from someone talking fifty feet away, yet close off the sound of a gunshot so fast it is amazing! I can snap my fingers, and you can actually hear the device shut the sound off in the muffs. I swear by these, and they are low profile too boot. Which means that when you mount your gun to shoot, they do not interfere with the gun stock next to your cheek. Some of the other brands would hit my stock, (I shoot a lot of trap) and that is very annoying when you have to re-adjust they way your gun mounts. Try em' you'll like em!

    Great hearing protection + you can hear everything else happening around you. Adds to safety on the range.

    Very low profile so you can shoot rifles easily and shotgun.

    I'd go with the peltors, here's a set which I think are similar to deerslayers suggestion http://order.harborfreight.com:80/EasyAsk/harborfreight/results.jsp?ts=Mon Feb 07 20:22:31 PST 2005 which I've bought for Guests that I take to the range. only the right side has the speaker and microphone Compared to the peltor tac 9's ( speakers and Mic's on both sides) that I use, the economy headphones seem heavier and the padded cups do not fit as well as the peltors. If your going to use them often treat yourself and spend the extra on the peltors. also www.natchezss.com carrys peltors.

    Thanx for the suggestions---think I'll go with the Peltor Tactical 6s. I like the idea of being lo-profile so as not to interfere with a rifle/shotgun stock striking the muff on mounting---something I had not thought of, but important.
    Does anyone know if the Peltor Tactical has a visual indication that the unit is on? I'm prolly gonna waste a lot of batteries if it doesn't.
