Encore accuracy, anyone have opinions?
I am in the market for an inline ML and have decided on an Encore.
I am also considering an additional barrel, probably in .270 or 7 mm
mag. Are these centerfire Encore setups better, about the same or worse than other rifles of same caliber as far as accuracy is concerned? Lets say for example comparing it to a Ruger #1 or Remington 700 or Winchester 70. Any opinions appreciated.

not to pee in your wheaties,. but the encore is somewhat dissapointing. Of those I a have worked with, they don't group well. You would be far better off to get a good inline ML like Knight or the new savage.
When swithched to a rifle barrel, the encore frame gave poor accuracy.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

My Dad and I were sighting in his Encore for an Elk Hunt last year. You could hit a pie plate at 100 yards, but the groups were not very good. I let him use my son's Knight instead and groups got quite a bit smaller. I have a G2 in .223 and love it. My dad's Encore in 50. cal is not as good as what you would expect for the money.

Same here with Encore, shes not a tack driver. Best inlines are the TC Omega 's or the higher end Knight rifles such as the Revoultion. 0 -
My Encore 209x50 shoots 2 inch groups at 100 yards. I have a
Tasco World Class 3x9 scope in the TC Encore mount. My load is 2 pyrodex pellets (100 gr.)and a 300 gr. Hornady XTP .44 cal. saboted bullet. I know others that have not had good groups with the Encore. It most cases they were using 3 pellets (150 gr.). A switch to 2 pellets usually produces better results. I have heard that the new power belt style projectiles are good in the encore.0
