Austrailian Enfield
Hi all.........
I purchaced about 2 months ago a OA made enfield and found it to be very rare, in doing my homework on this rifle I found that only about 39,000 were made, the only problem is the rifle was sporterized and the fore stock was cut down, and I would like to restore it back to original configuration, the wood was made by Slazenger and the receiver lug is (U) shaped for the buttstock bolt to fit into not the flat bar that the english enfields have.......I hope some one can help..

You're just going to have to haunt the parts houses, like the Numrich Gun Parts Corp., or the smaller ones who's ads appear in the classified ads of Shotgun News. Also, there is a Lee Enfield forum which you can probably turn up by typing "Lee Enfield" into a couple of search engines. They know everything about everything about Lee Enfields, and sell and swap parts. Good Luck.[:)] 0
