Western Field was a trade name used by Montgomery Ward for firearms sold by them. That said, I find no Western Field guns with that model number and it appears none were made for Wards by Browning. 0 -
If you can give us a accurate physical description of your shotgun. i.e. operating mechanism, gauge, all markings etc. Or better yet quality photos we might be better able to help you, identify your shotgun.
One of the early Stevens pumps was designed by John Browning. Believe they used his name on it. This model was also sold as a "Hardware Gun" by various wholesalers and distributors.

What I belive you have there is a western field made by Stevens with Browning patent. Take a look on GB and look up Stevens Browning and I think you will see your model (lookalike)
