Fixed rifle magazine, paint or blue?

On my sks, there is a spot on the magazine where it is worn to the metal (from resting in the crate I guess). Is there a paint that will work to refinish this or should I have it blued? Hard to tell which it is now.

  buying a new one is the cheapest / best option...
  2nd would be to clean and BLUE it...
  i would not recomend painting it.
