Hello This is a replacement Barrel made for the Mil. marksmanship units There is a sorce of confusion on "NATIONAL MATCH" Pistols . Colt started making a higher grade 1911 type pistol starting in 1932 these had NATIONAL MATCH roll stamped in the slide and had match barrels and were hand fitted after WW2 the mil. marksmanship teams started building match guns these were "RACK guns that had special parts installed SLIDE,BARREL,BUSHING, TRIGGER,SIGHTS. The number on your barrel is the drawing number as this part was oversize and had to be fitted. These guns were available to buy at Camp Perry up to 1968 gun control. Later after ww2 Colt made the Gold Cup national match . I hope this helps If you need more info email me karlw@piedmontequipment.com."PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"
