I'm certianly no browning expert but I've never seen one without ejectors. Are you sure the springs were not remove?

If someone pulled the springs out, the ejecters would work like extractors.
Like MW, I can't recall any Citori's that didn't have ejectors right from the factory, and if one did it surly wouldn't be a field model.

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.
