galil and optics
I am relatively new to modern Military rifles, though I have been raised with and own weapons all my life. My question is for the .223 Galil Arm rifle. This Rifle has a side mounted quick release scope mount. I know I can zero in traditional style scopes, But I want to use some of the new Acog type optics for quick target aquistition, and was wondering will this still be able to be used? Cuz The Acogs I find are made for the M16/colt family of rifles only it seems. Acog zero directions recomends you to zero your acog on the barrel site. This is not possible with a side mount. Sorry for such a seemingly lame question, but this config is for My 2nd Amend pack and storage, and want to have a functional weapon. NO matter the price to my pride.
I would also like any suggestions on some good optics that maybe you all have had experience with with .223 combat rifles.
