info on replica flintlock pistol please

I have a replica of a Tower Flintlock pistol, complete, in near mint condition that is probably 50 years old or so. on the left side of the barrel at the chamber(?) end is stamped EIG-JAPAN 10015. on the right side of the gun, under the flash pan is engraved a crown with the letters GR under it. To the rear of the hammer on the brass is the word TOWER, stamped from top to bottom but to read correctly, one would hold the gun vertically in your hand. No other obvious markings. The stock is a beautiful wood, possibly walnut, very few slight scratches. Brass has a beautiful dark patina, no chips, looks hand casted. Two position cocking hammer, first cock is safe, 2nd cock is fire.
I'm told the gun has been fired with proper supplies, ie: flint, powder, ball, patch, etc.
Any ideas on value, or info on the gun itself appreciated. I am selling it for a friend, but need a starting point for price.

    I had one many years ago. Fired it quite a bit & it usually worked pretty good. The price at that time (probably early sixties)was very low. As best I recall they were only twenty-nine dollars. I got rid of it when I got a replica of the Harpers Ferry pistol. The difference in quality between the locks was amazing but then so too was the price.

    Top Dollar for these old Jap Copies runs about $100.00....Some were pretty decent and others were.....well not so good...Its really Supply and Demand anymore.........Best........

    captkirk is right, best Jap quality is not bad. Poor is worse than poor. Take out the lock and if you see springs made of bent wire beware, and don't be around if anyone tries to shoot it.

    If you can get $50.00, sell it. If you want to buy one, I'll sell you mine for $50.00. It's probably late '60s to early 70's.
