Reloading 40 S&W
I am planning on getting something new in 40 S&W. I want to reload for it however, and all manuals note that guns with non-fully supported chambers will bulge the cases and that reloading them could be a problem. I am not sure which guns have a fully supported chamber and which do not. I suspect that Glocks do not. Does anyone know which brands have a fully suported chamber and which do not, right off the top of their head?

Glock S&W .40 chambers ARE "unsupported" and HAVE polygonal rifling. Polygonal rifling, although purported to give better accuracy than traditional rifling, leads up severely such that lead bullets are not recommended. I had a G23 and "moved up" to a S&W SW99 compact that has a fully supported chamber and traditional rifling specifically so I could shoot lead reloads.
Unless you can confirm through visual inspection that a particular make/model you are interested in has a "supported" chamber I'd not hesitate to call or email the manufacturer and ask them outright. [S&W responded promptly to my email inquiry; Ruger doesn't see the need for email so I didn't consider Ruger] I have no doubt that all manufacturers are aware of the Glock Kaboom problems and will know what you are talking about.
