Walther TP

Have recently acquired a Walther Tp 6.35 ---know very little about it especially in disassembly. Would appreciate any info or links. Thanks!

    I recently found a walther tp, and can't find a value. I know they are rare, and this one is like new in the box with all the paperwork, and even the box is like new. I found one that sold at auction with a lot of wear for $610, but nothing like this one. Any ideas of value like this, and where would one sell it to bring the most money??

    WALTHER MODEL TP
    1961-1964 / 1968-1971
    offered in 6.35mm auto or .22 lr chamberings, this was a modernized version of the MODEL 9. constuction was simaler, though the TP was about an inch longer than its predecessor, and its butt had a far better shape. placing the saftey catch on the slide provided the one major mechanical change; operating the catch disconnected the sear and locked the striker. the guns were 5.2 inches long, had 2.6 inch BBL`s and wieghed about 12 ounces without thier 6 round magazine. one of WALTHER`s less successful designs, the TP lasted less than a decade before being replaced by the TPH. production amounted to about 12,000 in the more common 6.35mm and only about 2,500 of the more rare .22 rimfire.

    Forgive my ignorance but do the changes from the Walther ( to the TP allow it to be carried chambered?
