1852 Sharps carbine Rifle

Hello, I have a 1852 Sharps carbine rifle that i took to a local gunshop a while back who rated it to be in 85%-90% condition On the barrel is says "New Model 1865" It Still has the pellet primer he said most had been converted to the tape primer (im no expert so if im not making sense im sorry). In the 2005 standard catalog of firearms it says the gun is worth 6750 in good condition. But does not List a price for the weapon in Very good condition. I guess my question is this model rifle seems to have allot of variations and im in need of as much information as i can round up. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

  This is my error The model number reads "new model 1859". I beleive this is the patten number it reads BS Lawerence Pat April 12th 1859 at the top and C. Sharps Oct 5 1852, on the stock there is an inscription intitals WAJ. This is a family heirloom and i am unfamilar with antique guns.
