They are as good as any. I sell and install quite a few of these. Some folks just can't afford a $600 - $1200 piece of glass.

I have one I have been using since the 70s.I have had a few rifles in the past 30 years, but somehow the old Redfield is always on my favorite deer rifle. Its on a Steyr ProHunter now.

I have an old 5 star in 4-12 that I'm going to have to put down seems that some little lense things came loose inside and they get in the field of view sometimes I hate to do it since the clicks are always right on. it's got the target turrets. I think it has something to do with the AO. I heard bad things about getting an old scope fixed since the company was accuired by someone else might go with a weaver or bushnell 3200 for next low end scope I guess haveing it strapped on the back of the snowmobile on the AR didn't help it

Good scope. One rode my Win. Mod 70 for 14 years. It gave way and I found I could get it rebuilt for about $60 plus shipping. Call Redfield and they will refer you to the firm.

I passed and just used the money on a new scope.
I still like Redfields and Leopold has a newer line of less expensive scopes now on the market.
