Ultra Compact .22LR Conversion?
Is there a .22LR conversion kit that is compatible with a Springfield Armory 1911 Ultra Compact 9mm?
Would a standard 1911 conversion kit work? If so, the slide would just be enormous on the small frame. Because the gun is designed for 9mm, would this create a problem for a .22LR conversion kit?

There are no such kits that I am aware of. As for the second part of your question, my advice is to call Springfield and discuss it with them. So many questions and problems can be solved over the telephone talking directly to a technician or representative of the company, and often on their nickel on a 1-800 number. I'm pretty sure that you are going to draw a blank. I'll just throw this suggestion out there--why not buy a small pistol in .22 cal. generally configured like a 1911 and practice with that? A Llama is one that comes to mind.[8D] 0 -
