The USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, and DHL all have websites that may address this qeustion. There also is a table of uniform tariffs (search under import duties) that tells what items can and cannot be mailed to various countries.

You need to contact the US Dept of State. They will advise you if it can be exported, & will give you an export permit if it can be.
Obviously more trouble than it is worth. From now on, make your auctions "US only".

I sell and buy international all the time. No mystery or big secret to it. It's called business. Go to the post office and get your customs form and fill it out when you mail.

Everytime I go to Europe I always pickup a Bayonet or Two...Flea Markets and Swapmeets are becoming as Common on the Continent as We have here in the States...The Saturday Morning Swapmeet in Liege, Belguim is the best that I've ever experianced...I've been there half a dozen times and have yet to see it all...Sits on the River Muse and in front of the Belguim Imperial War Museum...
When I leave for Home, I put the Bayonets into My Suit Case and when I check My Lugage In at the Airport I notify the Agents at the Counter and Airport Security.....Must have brought home 20 or so....Never any Problems at either end....Don't see why You should experiance any difficulty for shipping a Bayonet.....? Keep us enformed......Best......
