Freefloating or not?

    Most of my customers follow the advice I give them. If it broke and shoots great don't spend money to mess it up.

    free floating a 22lr heavy bbl? I would get one box of many types of ammo, find the best,buy the whole case (same lot #).Accuracy of the gun is only as good as the shooter though.90% shooter 10% gun. My 2 cents

    Chances are that a .22 heavy barrel is not going to suffer from harmonics or deflection from some contact with the wood, however I love to tinker and if you feel like free floating will help, do it, I probably would too. However that's not proof positive that it's the right thing to do. If you find that accuracy has not improved or gotten worse after you floated it then you can bed it.
