try the "paintball" forum, it has been hijacked and turned into a reloading forum..good stuff there.

Kinda wonder why you would want to unless you have a barrel with the right rate of spin. 30-30 barrels have a spin rate to stabilize bullets in the 170-200 gr weight range. Shooting bullets in the 55 gr range in that barrel will not stabilize it properly, you will probably not get acceptable accuracy. In years past I tried a box of accelerators in 30-30 and was disappointed in accuracy, couldn't hit a gallon paint bucket at 100 yards, bullets were hitting paper sideways. On the other hand, try Midway or do a websearch for "sabot"

Dido's on the why would you want to reload the accelerators. They wouldn't be worth the time and trouble, and I also agree with the accuracy, or should I say, the lack of accuracy. There is hope though. If you want to reload a light bullet in 30-30, try the 125 grainers from Sierra. I shot a coyote with one of them out of a Marlin 336 at 150 yards, and it flew as straight as anything could fly. Didn't do much pelt damage either, probably because it was going pretty slow.
