pre 64 model 70

I have a pre 64 model 70 in 25 ackley mag.The gun is in very good cond. Any help on value would be great.

Is $500 dollars for a winchester pre 64 model 70 feather weight in .243 a good deal ?? perfect condition!!

If it is a standard grade I would say about 1/3. I would notify the seller and explain what you have discovered. I would want to know if he knew what he sold. This is fairly common in the 300 H&H, 257 Roberts and 22 Hornet.

A conservative est. would be 25% if I were looking to buy it.

The H&H series M70s had higher collector interest than the standard chamberings, so reaming out the chamber could have decreased the value by 50%, if you consider the drop from high book on the original.
