Anyone have any specific information on the Colt Delta Elite Custom Edition. I am interested in knowing if Colt fixed the problems associated with the early Delta Elites? ( guide rod breakage, Cracking Frame?)
    Thanks.

The problem with the Deltas was more of a compunding issue than a single fault. For starters, The gun was more or less just a rebarreled series 80. Second, the Original Norma ammo was very hot (well over 700 FPE at the muzzle) and finally, many "bright" Delta owners became frustrated with constant breakage of the link pin and replaced them with tool steel. To sum it up, when the weak link (barrel link pin) was strengthened, the next weakest parts failed (frame, guide rod, barrel link). If you want a Delta, just try to find one that has been well cared for and don't shoot full power ammo all the time. It would be just a step above the abuse you would cause on a .45 shooting +P+ all the time. I own 3 10mm's (Kimber Stainless Target II, S&W 1006, Witness Compact) and for the most part I shoot either moderate handloads or factory UMC 180 gr. FMC. The UMC stuff produces ~520 FPE (about 75% of full power) and is much less abusive to the guns. Caution: once you own a 10mm, the addiction is permanent![:D]

It's easy to spot liberals-they are the ones who have no assets to protect and need every handout they can get. They have forbeyed themselves ascendence to a productive lifestyle.

I agree qith Hunter375. I have a Witness and a S&W1076 10mm. It is a very good cartridge. Both my hand guns handle full house 10mm loads with out a hitch. I am a big fan of the 10mm. My 2 cents [8D]

I have 2 Delta Elites and they are fantastic. I hope to get a Witness 10mm someday. 10mm is surely addictive.
