45-70 guide gun with magnaports magna-brake
Just wanted to know if anyone out there has a marlin 1895g with magnaports magna-brake installed on it, and if it affected the accuracy any at all, and how about the muzzle blast? did it get louder, personally I like them loud, and that is the soul purpose that I want to get one, if it actually does make it louder.

bbil you must already be hard of hearing and want to make sure you hear it roar or you have some neighbors you are trying to impress or send over the edge. Why on earth would ya want it louder? I have little experience with the gun in question, but I do have experience with muzzle brakes, magna-ports and the like. They do their intended job by cutting down on recoil and muzzle jump, as of yet I've not seen accuracy affected, the big trade off is the noise, they become nearly impossible to shoot, they really hurt your ears in a hunting situation where you have no ear protection on, secondly some guides and outfitters do not allow them on their hunts do to the affect they have on their guides. My Marlin 1895G is a joy to shoot. The muzzle break does a fine job. You will be using earmuffs on the range, and how many shots do u need when hunting?? I try to use 1 shot 1 kill my self, that little biddy muzzle blast when youre hunting won't bother you.

I wear two hearing aids-YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
ALWAYS wear proper hearing protection. Please.
