Hello just a thought but I think you would like a red dot sight better. You can use it in very low light for turkey hunting when it would be hard to pick up cross hairs , You dont have field of veiw problems like a scope and you can get ones like those from ULTRADOT that have 4 sizes of dots.

A 1x scope actually reduces the image. A 1.2-1.4x will give you an image that appears to be 1 power.

I use a Simmons 2x scope and it works out fine. So far it has been sturdy, but if it gives up, I did not pay much for it.

I handgun hunt deer and have been using a 2 X Leupold for 15 years. Good scope that gets light in. I've killed right under my stand out to 100 yds. Seems to have been the right choice for me. Good Luck.Stay Safe.........................................

some state game laws require a 1 x scope if used on a muzzle loader during the black powder season , like here in WI , check with T/C I believe they still make one

[:D]your welcome[:D] i tried the 1 x on my encore 209x50 and didn't like it because it made things look further away so I ended up going with a Bushnell holosight , which is also legal to use here in WI, i like that setup better , but still wish they would change the law so we could just use a regular scope ,,, oh well you know the DNR is god [:(] or so they think [}:)]
