pre 64 value?

My grandpa passed down a 3006 win mod 70 ser #27xxx, the action is smooth but the blue is probably 60%+ with no pitting just wear, the wood is dinged up again smoothed over from wear. It has a pachmayr tip off mount with a weaver 3x9 wideview scope and a redfield peep replaces (i'm guessing), the original sights, it's not been fired in at least 20yrs but saw a lot of use prior to that. Value for insurance purposes only. Thanks.

  For a pre-war Model 70, even without pristine collector value, I'd expect a price more in the range of $650-$750. I'd buy it sight-unseen for anything less than $500.
