Approx year of manufacture of Colt Police Positive

I bought a Colt Police Positive in 38 Police (38 S&W) with a 6 inch barrel, blued. Serial number 50,xxx and it is very low 50,xxx so can any one tell me the approximate year of manufacture? I know they were made from 1905 or 1907 to 1947 but none of my books have the year of the serial numbers of the Police Postives. I appreciate any info.

    Thank you Xracer. Where did you find the yearto seriel number table at for the Colt Police Positive if you do not mind me asking. If it is a book, I need to get one! I figured my Blue Book would have it but alas it did not. Again thanks.

    Thank you both, I bought it for my ol lady on her ORDERS at an estate auction and just wanted to know the year of manufacture. The handles are worth as much as the handgun! Again thanks.
