Messed with SuperGrade value
This is a pre-64 300 H&H that I bought as a "collector grade" some years ago. The stock was cut down about 1 1/2 inches. The receiver right side was drilled and tapped for a side mount scope. One hole was drilled and tapped in the bridge for a Redfield one piece mount. Other than that it is 90 to 95% metal and wood. S/N 105XXX with cloverleaf tang. Do I have any business thinking there is collector value or should I just use it as a shooter?

Take it out and enjoy shooting it.
Collectors are not going to pay a preium on a rifle that has been drilled for the scope mount and had the stock cut down.0 -
Thanks jn,
It came with an old box of ammo, if its not raining tomorrow I will take it out and see how it functions.
