Tang safetys have been on the market for about a year. Work very well. Only problem is mounting a tang sight.

I WOULD RATHER BE DUCK HUNTING.

I am also interested in the new 30/30 cartridge. What do you know about it?

    I learn something new everyday.

Phil, you are one up one me...I haven't heard of a new 30-30 cartrige. If you are talking about the 38-55, it is an old black powder cartrige that dates back to around 1890 or so...others here could probably quote the inventor/gunmaker that first brought it to market. At any rate it was one of the first cartidges offered in the Model 1894 Winchester in 1894. The other cartridge I mentioned for the Trails End is the 25-35 Winchester. It was brought to market as a sister cartridge to the 30-30 in 1895, both using smokeless powder. It was never too popular with the general public (compared to the 30-30). Winchester has not produced a rifle chambered for the 25-35 since the early 50s?. It should be interesting to see how the old girl does the second time around.
