Quality of AR lowers
Geez,... there is Stag, ARS, Olympic,...probably 5 more 'lesser-known' brands of lower receivers. I assume some come off the same line and are just stamped with different brands. What are some opinions on quality? Some are castings vs forgings?

Most major companys offer Lowers only and cost varies greatly. To list a few major players Armalite, Bushmaste, RRA, Colt, DPMS, E.A.corp, Olympic Arms, ect. Like you said many lesser known companys make them too and they are usualy cheaper. I recently got one from LAR transfered as a pistol for under $100 and I have seen them cheaper. The lower looks better then the ones on any of my others (Colt, Bushmaster, Olympic, and E.A.Corp). If I was to buy just a new lower I would buy one of theas in a hurry. Here is a link to their site, like I said if you look arround you can find them cheaper than listed.

I was certain I would receive a reply: "this has been hashed over a hundred times. Search for threads". Or go to an AR/clone web site that focuses on AR-type rifles.
Thanks for the site. I am going to look into the LAR.
