Brno 22Mag Semi-Auto Rifle
I would like some info on the Brno 22 mag semi-auto rifle.
Is it reliable (jams)?
Workmanship (quality)?
What brand ammo does it like?
Factory service?
Accurate?
TIA

This is one very good take down 22mag rifle. Workmanship is top ratre in my opinion. You can get 10rd mags for it but they cost and are rare. It is accurate. Factory service? It come from the Chech Republic. [8D]

Accuracy depends on what ammo you use. All my CZ or BRNO rifles like Winchester. The only exception is my ZKM452 rifles which really are super accurate with CCI Stinger ammo. As for quality I've found the older rifles seem to exhibit better workmanship & reliability than the newer guns.(Just my opinion!) As for service, BRNO is no longer in the business of making guns. 0 -
Brno is the same company as CZ. I have no idea why the name was changed.

CZ & BRNO were always separate companys. CZ did make a lot of guns & put BRNO's name on them.I've been collecting BRNO & CZ firearms for over 15 years & have dealt with a lot of importers over the years. 0 -
Hi,
Thanks for the replies to this question. I am in the process of buying a brno 22 semi auto, will let you know how i get on with it. Thanks for the tip re the ammunition too. My main question is the same as the first guy .... is the mechanism considered to be reliable?
Would it be fair to say these semi autos are rare and parts may be an issue?

Have sold to customers three or four Brno 22 mag (break-down) semi-auto rifles. This is as good as it gets for the price. They have gone
thru several distributers. Service might be a problem, but have had
only one complaint. I think it is a great rifle, but we (USA) make
some just as good or better. Thompson/Center .22 Semi-auto as example.0
