Taurus Tracker 22 Mag Scope Mount?
Does anyone have an alternate source for the no drill scope mount for the Tracker 22 Mag? I have been trying to purchase one from Taurus for 4 months and they have yet to have any available. They keep blaming Brazil. Before i make one myself I want to check for alternate sources.
The tracker shoots sweet but after seeing how Taurus treats its customers I will never purchase another Taurus again. I told them how dissatisfied I was at their uncaring attitude concerning this mount and it was obvious they could not care less. I just hope that I never need a part for the revolver.
I have great love for humanity, it's just the people I can not stand.

Shadow,
I agree with you on the Taurus service. I also have been trying to get a scope mount. Only I have been trying for about 8 months. I first asked for a replacement mount for my Raging Hornet with the 10" barrel. The bottom channel was cut incorrectly and would not lie properly on the barrel. Taurus said " no problem, we will send you a new one and just keep the old one." Well, they sent me the wrong mount!! Sent me the mount for a Tracker. Which I just happened to have in 22mag and in 17hmr. So they said keep it also and they would get me the right one for my Raging Hornet. That was 8 months ago. Still no mount. In fact, 2months into the 8 months I called to ask on status and they had no record of me ordering the mount. I basically have given up. Too much stress dealing with these people.
Sorry, had to edit. No, I have not found an alternate source.0 -
Are we talking about the ones that have the little plates that slip under the "rib-vents" and screw to the base? My local gunshop had them on the rack last time I looked. I'll try to go back and find out the brand so perhaps they can be found online. [8D]

Thanks for all of the help. I have a friend who is in metal sales sending me some stainless plate and will make my own at my buddy's machine shop. If that doesn't work I'll hit the links.
