7mm WSM Problems?

Has anyone head of any problems with the availability of 7mm WSM factory ammo? Several dealers in my area have said they have had trouble getting this round. Is there any info on shortened barrel life with this round? I would really appreciate any input from the experts with these questions as I was talked out of purchasing a Browning A-Bolt in this caliber because of these concerns.

  We have it in stock and as far as I know its readily available .

  I've been seeing WSM ammo showing up in wallyworld. As far as barrel life is concered if it is your hunting rifle, then it is almost a non-issue. It will be many years befor you have to start worrying about barrel life issues. Some of the other guys like JustC can elaborate further but its nothing that I worry about with mine.

  Before I sold mine I found ammo at wally world. Dealers didn't want to pay for it thinking that it would just sit there. They did say alot of people have been asking about it.

  I'm not fond of the short mag cases and would prefer a 280 Ackley Improved to the WSM, but that's just my opinion.
