There is a cresent shaped tool that you will need to remove the old buttstock, it is very inexpensive and the end of it fits into the small groove on the side of the metal band where the buttstock meet the lower reciever.

There is a special tool to do it, however on my old postban model I hand tightened it and never had an issue with it. Use a rubber clamp or something to grip it if you cant get it tight with your hand.

Other than a big flat screw driver, no special tool is needed to remove the fixed stock. You only need to remove the upper stock screw. However, a tele-stock spanner wrench is needed to install the tele-stock.

Be advised. When removing the fixed stock, the rear detent spring will shoot out if you are not careful. Been there, done that, got a T-shirt in X-large to prove it.[:D] If that happens, you will be lucky to find it as it is small.
