The earliest Llama's date to the early 1930's. They were identified numerically and later by Roman Numerals, "BUT" they weren't actually marked with the designations, until later. I would guess the 1950's.

I went through my references and have run into a problem. Llama identified a number of their pistols as the "Llama Especial" or "Especial".

If you can give the caliber and physical dimensions, MIGHT be able to narrow it down that way?

None of the Llama pistols in my references that are identified as being "Llama Especial" or "Especial" are in .45 Caliber. Perhaps? it's a varation of Model XI, which are in 9mm P. and are identified as the "Llama Especial".

I've got a .45 ACP model marked "Especial" that I bought in 1970, and later went in search of an extra magazine. IX-A worked.
