Remington 600 pistol?

    I could be wrong,but I don't think you can legally do that.In other words,"Once a rifle,always a rifle"

    Also,the XP100 used the 600 action.(I think)

    One more thing,considering what the Mod 600/660's are bringin' these days,I don't think I'd want to "chop" one up for any reason.(I rarely see one around here for less than $500.)

    The only way I can think of to do it legally would be to apply to the ATF to build a "Short Barreled Rifle" This requires that a 200 tax be paid, Lots of paper work and a long waiting period before it is approved for you to do it.

    You will find it to be a great big hassle of red tape converting a rifle to a pistol.
    Really is more bother than it's worth. You might get enough money for the 600 to buy a treasured XP100.

    Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

    Thanks for the info! I have an extra Leupold 4x sitting around...maybe I'll slap the scope on it and just add it to the collection.
