Can you tell me the value of this SAKO?

I have a SAKO Hunter in 6.5 X 55. It is a TAC driver in 98% condition. The metal is perfect and there is one very small ding in the stock. (not through the finish) As far as I know only a half a dozen of these were imported into the US.

Now, being a little older, I want to lighten my load so I am looking for a SAKO Finnlight in 6.5 X 55. I cannot justify owning 2 rifles in the same caliber so I need to sell the Hunter. Can anyone give me an idea of what I should could expect to sell it for?

    I don't know for sure but a good guess would be between $700.00 to $850.00.
    I wonder how rare mine is? it's the same as yours only in the left hand version.
    They are great guns but like you say at our age (I'm 70 ) on the heavy side.Get yourself a copy of the Gun-List or do a search on the GunBroker Auction Site. Good Luck [^] [:)] [8D]

    Thanks ATF, for your reponse. I can't imagine them in Lefty. I have never seen one. I have perused Gunlist, this auction, and others but have not been able to get a handle on a price for this item.

    I called the Dealer that I know that deals in Sakos a lot but, he is out and when he comes in he'll call me.It may be late but I'll post the answer he gives me.[:)]

    Hi,I finally got a call and he say's $750.00 to $800.00 so I was pretty close.Here's a picture of my Sako 6.5X55 in left hand.

    ATF, I am left handed, and that is only the second left hand Sako I have seen in 6.5x55. The other one I saw was in the mannlicher configuration. I have a left hand Sako in 280 and 308. Let me know if you ever decide to drop the 6.5x55 on the auction block. I would like a shot at bidding. I think the 6.5X55 will bring a premium for both left and right hand Sako rifles, but I am no expert. Nice picture!
