carbon 15
I'm thinking on purchasing a Bushmaster Carbon 15. Does anyone know the durability of this type of rifle? I don't plan on shooting it alot maybe 1000 rds per year at the most. Also, how good is the accuracy?

I saw a Carbon 15 listed, and think it would be cool to have. (I don't think I'm rich enough now anyway.)I was reading the sticky on NFA. And was wondering if you would need a tax stamp for it. Thanks 0 -
The Carbon rifle is very durable. The fore hand guard heats up with rapid fire of 60 or so rounds. It is very light weight. Could could carry it all day long and not give it a second thought. My 2 cents [8D]

Friend of mine swears by his, claims it groups as good/better than his Colt. He did put in a JP trigger. The factory trigger is OK but
the gun is so light, it's tough to keep it on the mark. This is true with most AR types. Choose your flavor....JP, Jard, Jewell, Wilson. All about the same money, but varying amounts of skill to install.0 -
I have a Carbon 15 pistol I bought when they were made under the Professional Ordnance name.
I had a two problems with it, one of which was corrected by P O before they were bought by Bushmaster.
1. The bolt broke in half at the large hole the cam pin goes through. I mailed the broken bolt and they quickly sent me a new one.
2. The rear section of the snap on muzzle break broke off. This happened after Bushmaster took over so it was not under warranty and I had to buy a new muzzle break.
Other than those 2 issues its a nice gun to shoot, but it is finicky for Canadian Thermold mags --- works great with them, but aluminum GI mags sometimes have feeding problems with this gun.
