Win. 70 . Syn.stock too long.

I've got a Win. 70 w/ a syn.stock & its too long. Can it easily be cut down or is there a problem w/ cavities in that area to prevent it.
It is the detatchable clip mod. as far as a replacable wood stock is concerned, if there is one of those avail. that would make it easier to get the job done.

  i have cut one down. replacing the pad was a pain though. had to make a wooden block th fill the cavity so that the pad had something to screw into. made the wooden block and then epoxied it into the cavity.also had to trim away what was left of the plastic where the original pad screws went. was really a pain. but being for a kid you sometimes go the extra mile.
