I agree, but one of the few would be a standard weight Model 70 257 Roberts made in 1938, presently fitted with a 6x Leupold Alaskan scope with a magazine full of Blue Mountain 115 grainers. Given the limitation to spike elk (unless a permit is drawn for branch antler) I consider this adequate if the limits of shot are not pushed. 0
