Problem with Eagle magazine in a S&W

Did a search but no one else seems to have my problem.

I bought 4 Eagle stainless magazines from 2 different people. All were brand new in the packaging. I purchased these for a S&W 5906 TSW and it is the correct magazine.

They do not latch. At first I thought it was my hogue grips causing it, but I disassembled the magazine and inserted just the core and it does not latch.

Now the fun part. My friend has a S&W 5903 - the magazines latch perfectly, his S&W magazines latch perfectly in my 5906. I am thinking I have a larger magazine latch as it does seem to click but the release is still pushed out.

Anyone have this kind of problem? Putting the stock magazine next to the Eagle brand does not look any different. And I can not find a web site for Eagle or Eagle International to ask them any questions.

    If yours work in his 5903 and his work in your 5906, why not trade?

    Well, his are factory 10 round and lives in California, the Eagles are 17 rounds. Since his girlfriend works for DOJ, not going to even try to sneak that by.

    I have that exact same setup, except my mags work in the 5906. Sorry to hear yours do not.

    Check your mags against your freinds, see if the notch lines up in the two mags. If not you may be able to file a little out of yours.

    Well, I found the difference. Over all the factory magazine slot is .9mm larger - the center is exactly the same. Now I need to figure out which end to file/grind out or to do both the top and bottom. Another possibility is the magazine catch is bent, as this was a used gun I think I will remove the magazine latch and verify it.
