    You mean the frame, right? 1904. The date is the date of the whole enchilada. Question for you. Why are there 4 photos of that Krag you're trying to sell, all the same?

    According to the official list, there are only 5 1892's officially known to be in existence today, and only 2 of them have the serial# H13XXX. Yours might be the 6th one. Known serial# of the 1904 serie are H13367, H13844 (Navy marked), H16832, H18321 and H19393. If you give me the complete serial# on yours and it doesn't appear in the list, I can have it added with the mention "is in the US". Would be interesting for all collectors to know.

    Note: same revolvers with serial# between H75000 and H99XXX, WITHOUT any date nor model name on the barrel, were made between 1915 and 1917. As the St-Etienne plant could not meet the army demand, they had the barrel and some other mechanical parts made by other St-Etienne gunsmiths, and that's why those do not bear the markings on the barrel. Only abt 30,000 of these were made, which is abt 10 % of the total production. I have serial# H90432 in my collection; up to now only 13 of that serie have been located.
    The Regular Service 1892 can fire either black powder or nitro but only in the 8 mm Lebel caliber. However its ammo is kinda weak, it was the finest military revolver ever produced in France.

    When I said "only 5 1892 known" I meant of course five of the 1904 serie[:D]- don't misunderstand me on that point
