C96 manufature date

I've just picked up a pristine C96 Mauser (Broomhandle) - SN: 6967xx - anyone out there have abn idea of the manufacture date? I used to have a book that had all the dates up to WWII (I believe) but can't find it - probably loaned it out 20 years ago.

  Can't give you the specific date but Ezell in his book noted "By 1929 the serial numbers for M/96 pistols stood at about 700,000".
