Were any olympians ser.# ever started with a B followed by for digits, and if so what year would it be

  According to Matt Eastman's book on Browning firearms the prefix letter B could be found on Olympians manufactured between 1962-1965. A number would prefix the letter. That number (2-8) indicates the year of manufacture. Four numbers following would indicate an early rifle. Remember there are always exceptions to the rule.
