Savage Model 19NRA Scope Base Question

I got the rear sight for my savage all set, and I want to have a scope as well.
I found these single hole weaver bases, and am wondering if they will work.

I am legally blind, and I don't know how I will do with that tiny hole in the peep sight

Any info or alternate suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    I have one of these rifles.
    I put a Weaver one piece base on it.
    Go to a gunshop that has a good selection of Weaver bases and pick out a one piece that matches the rounded contour of yor receiver top. You will have to drill & tap at least 3 holes in size 6-48 to mount it. put 2 holes for the forward end and one in the rear end of the base . That will hold it quite well. these rifles came with holes in the side for the old style side mount , they are not nearly as satisfactory as the top mount.
