Which AR-15
I am mostly a handgun shooter but am looking at purchasing an AR-15 type rifle. Any suggestions on preferred brands. Would like it to be an accurate shooter but without breaking the bank. Thanks for any suggestions.

I too have been looking for an AR. I have been researching and asking around. The response I have been getting is to stay away from Bushmaster and go with Panther or Armalite. No one says the Bush is bad, they just say the quality isn't as good as the Panther or Armalite. 0 -
go to www.ar15.com and ask the AR addicts. Get a stripped lower and build a kit from JT dist. Good as any off the shelf rifle, cheaper, and you get a little "hands on" knowledge of how the things work. 0 -
Armalite or Bushmaster works for me. [8D]

Trooperchin,
Can you tell me what your final cost was and what it would have been if you would have purchased complete? I would love to own one but cant afford the hefty up front cost, are there any sites that show how to put this kit together that you speak of, I went to that link you sent but there are way to many options for a newbie like myself to make any sense of it, your pics look exactly like what I want.[:D]
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have stripped lower receivers and parts kits on GB auction. They are very high quality and go together very easy, comes with instructions. You can then buy a complete upper setup or build your own. I built my own upper and lower, for the parts I sell, for my personal gun and am impressed with the way everything came out. Now I would never buy a complete AR, just build it.http://www.forthehunt.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?item=28148758 http://www.forthehunt.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?item=28160779 http://www.forthehunt.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?item=28191074 These 3 items gets you a complete lower assy. Email me it you have any questions.

The easest way to build your own is to order a complete lower and complete upper, then just snap them together.
I just ordered a complete stag arms lower from www.eaglefirearms.net and a complete m-4 upper from www.del-ton.com. I have around 600 in the entire gun. Both businnesses where very easy and reliable.
check this out;

NOTE: lowers must be shipped to a ffl dealer in your area.
