On this same topic, I am interested in the pros and cons of the 24"
standard barrels and the 26" heavy barrels. I am looking at .270 or 7 mm mag. Does one or the other barrel have an advantage? Will the same stock fit both?

    TIA

I have one and like it so far, but havent shot it enough to make a comment that would hold water. If It is anywhere as good as the contenders it will be wonderful. Its a good company, holds value well, and I doubt if you will go wrong.

I own two Encores and Two Contenders. I am very happy with all of them. The Encores were bought as .50 cal muzzleloaders but I also have a 22-250 barrel as well as .308, .223, and .270 All shoot very well and I am pleased with them.
They are hard to beat in my opinion

The encore is a excellant value, and just as accurate as most single shots.
The heavy longer barrel will as a rule shoot a bit better than the shorter lighter barrel will and it will hold better and have a bit more velocity.

Gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

Why would you have more than one receiver?
