Leupold 3-9x40 Mark 4 PR

Just picked one of these up in a trade and was going to put it on my Ruger MKII 30-06. But now I think it's may be too much scope. Should I keep it, or sell it and get a Vari-X II 3-9x40?

  You got a nice piece of optic there if you ever want to do some long range shooting. I'd keep it considering that Leupold prices are going up from what I understand.
