Steyr Handgun Quality and Performance question

I have both M9 and M40 and they have been very good pistols. The centerline is low to the hand making recoil management easier. Probably have around 6000 rounds through the M9 and 3500 +/- through the 40. No stoppages or feed problems. Super easy to take down. Only thing you'll need to do is get used to the sights. They are a little strange at first, but they are very quick to acquire.

Even if they were the same price as the Glock I would take the Steyr over the Glock.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

The Steyr M's a good gun. I had one in 9mm and it only had one feed problem (the shell failed to eject and got jammed in there but good), but I attribute this to the ammo, not the gun.

As Contender said, the sights get a little getting used to, but once you've acclimated to them, you'll find them much easier to use than standard sights.

One problem I did have with the grips was that mine still had a bit of a burr on it (probably from the molding process? Who knows...) and it bit into my hand every time I fired. Smoothing it down with a file took care of that, though.

All in all, they're great guns that are easy to use and maintain. I agree with Contender: between a Steyr and a Glock, the Steyr wins hands down.
