Is .25-06 bullets the same as .257 bullets?

Just looking for bullets for a .25-06, don't know if they are the same as .257 bullets.

  .257" is the bore diameter of the .25-'06. That would be the proper size bullets to use. I can understand your confusion. The .30-'06 uses a .308" bullet. The .270 Winchester uses a .277". The .35 cal rifles use a .358" bullet yet the .38 Special uses a .357" bullet. There is no particular logic to it. You just need to get a reloading manual and go by it.

  That is what I thought, cause everywhere I look says the bullets are .2575.
