Winchester Model 94 Worth Info?

I have here a Winchester Model 94 Lever Action in 30-30 that is owned by my father.

Left side Reads

-Winchester- Model 94-30-30-WIN-
-Trade Mark-
-Made in USA-Winchester Proof Steel-

Top of reciever and Barrel look to have an integral W & P in an oval

Also there is what looks to be OV or CV stamped between the lever and trigger

Serial Number 2513012 (1961)

Well I know it's not a Pre-War, but it's a solid 97% both wood and metal. Some light fading spots in the blue on the barrel band, and a few tiny nicks in the wood. Overall a very beautiful piece. Blinding Bore, and correct front and rear sights.

Anyone know what this baby might be worth. From what dad says it's got plenty piles of family history.

    Sounds like you have a nice "pre-64" model 94. Checking the listing on auction will give yu probably the best idea of dollar worth; but I'd think the dollar worth would be no where near the family history value of such a gun. I was given a model 1894 30 WCF that had belonged to my wife's uncle, when he was sheep rancing in the 1930s in Oregon (a cougar gun); and we won't be selling it for love nor money.

    Chgo- That is interesting- I find that the most common year of manufacture of the guns that I own is 1948, the year in which I was born- something about both starting out at the same time I guess.
