Stevens Springfield 52A

I have a barreled reciever marked J Stevens Arms Springfield mod 52A. 22 short, long, long, rifle It is not listed on the Numrich parts website or any cross reference charts I can find. I am looking for a complete bolt assembly for this gun. Can anyone give me any information about this rifle. Thanks

    It appears to be a bolt action single shot with no safety on the gun itself. The bore looks excellent and would probably be a good shooter. I found it odd though that Numrich and the other sites have no record of this rifle. thanks

    i will check my books / files / data when i get home...

    i just aquired a STEVENS MODEL 53B BUCKHORN
    the saftey on this gun is integral to the bolt. you pull the cocking piece to the rear and turn it clockwise to make safe just like the mechanism on the SCHMIDT-RUBIN K31 straight pull rifle.

    i have never encountered one like that before...

    go to numerich and see if they have a picture of a 15 or 120A. I think yours would be similar, or you could send me a picture, and I could compare it to mine. Savage built many similar rifles under different names and model #'s, based on this same basic gun.

    stevens produced a number of inexpensive utilitarian bolt guns popular as starter rifles...may just have to haul it around to match up a bolt....good luck
