Davis Derringer????'s

Does anyone know of the quality or reliability of these derringers?? There only @ 75.00. I know the companys out of buisiness but they seem pretty solid..Ideas???? Thanks in advance

  I own one from years ago. It is cheap (.22lr) but has never failed to fire. You get what you pay for. If u want a great derr., check out Bond Arms out of Granbury, Texas.

  Aparently too many years. The .22 LR model was simply "D-22" the "DM-22" was chambered in .22 WMRF. I had one of each and a D-25 and still own a D-38. I do agree that the DM-22 appeared to be a better made piece than the D-22, but that may have been because my DM-22 had wooden grip panels.

  i have had several ,they did all fire each time i pulled the trigger ,but that did not happen alot ,they are not acurate beyond ten feet so i have no desire to shoot them often

  I have the Davis 38 special. Look at the barrel closely. I think it is rolled sheet metal and not solid steel. I consider it barely acceptable.
  If you need a small gun that fires everytime at a distance of 6 feet or less then it is better than nothing. Beyond 6 feet forget it as far as accuracy.
